ជំនាន់ទី ១៖

កំឡុងឆ្នាំ ១៩៤៦-៥៤ បច្ចេកវិទ្យាពេលនោះគឺពឹងផ្អែកលើអំពូលអគ្គីសនីស្វ័យប្រវត្តិ (Lamp)។ កុំព្យូទ័រសម័យនោះមានទំហំប្រហែលបន្ទប់មួយ រីឯសមត្ថភាពវាវិញគឺប្រហែល២% នៃកុំព្យូទ័រ បច្ចុប្បន្ន។

ជំនាន់ទី ២៖

១៩៥៥-៦៤ បច្ចេកវិទ្យាពឹងផ្អែកទាំងស្រុងលើ Transistors បន្ទាប់មកគេបង្កើតបាននូវភាពជំនាញរបស់កុំព្យូទ័រដោយប្រើកម្មវិធីភាសាកំរិតខ្ពស់ (High Level Language) ក្នុងនោះមានដូចជា Basic Fortran, Cobol... ទាំងនោះយើងហៅថា Compiler Language Program ដែលមានតួនាទីយ៉ាងពិសេសសំរាប់ បកប្រែភាសាកំរិតខ្ពស់នៅក្នុងភាសារបស់ម៉ាស៊ីនកុំព្យូទ័រ ដែលអាចកាត់បន្ថយពេលវេលា និងកំលាំងក្នុងការរៀបចំ និងអនុវត្តន៍កម្មវិធី។ ម៉ាស៊ីនកុំព្យូទ័រសម័យនោះមានទំហំប៉ុនតុមួយ សមត្ថភាពគឺ ១០% នៃកុំព្យូទ័រ បច្ចុប្បន្ន។

ជំនាន់ទី ៣៖

ក្នុងកំឡុងឆ្នាំ ១៩៦៥ បច្ចេកវិទ្យាកាន់តែមានភាពរីកចំរើនខ្លាំង ដោយពឹងផ្អែកទៅលើ IC (Integrated Circuit) ដែលជួយបន្ថយនូវការប្រើប្រាស់ Transistors ដ៏ច្រើនលើសលប់ មកប្រើ IC ដែលមាន ចំនួនតិច ហើយទំនើបកាន់តែខ្លាំងក្នុងការរៀបចំ និងគ្រប់គ្រងព័ត៌មាន។ កុំព្យូទ័រពេលនោះអាចដាក់លើតុ ហើយមានលក្ខណៈជា Desktop និង Laptop អាចយួរបាន។

ជំនាន់ទី ៤៖

ចាប់ពីឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៦ កុំព្យូទ័របានពង្រីកប្រសិទ្ធិភាពគ្រប់គ្រងរបស់ខ្លួន និងធ្វើការបញ្ចូលកិច្ចការ ដ៏ស្មុគស្មាញនានា ច្រើនប្រភេទ ទៅក្នុងប្រព័ន្ធតែមួយក្នុងកំរិតខ្ពស់ VSI (Very Scale Integrated)។

The original 1946 announcement film of ENIAC, with new narration. ENIAC, "Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer", was designed by J. Presper Eckert and John Mauchly. ENIAC had over 18,000 vacuum tubes and is considered by many to be the first large scale, programmable, fully electronic digital computer ever made. This film shows the machine in operation as well as the designers and some of the women programmers working the wiring panels and managing input and output via punch card machines.
